Anne é uma órfã que passou sua vida inteira pulando de casa em casa, à serviço de diversas famÃlias, principalmente cuidando de crianças, em troca de comida e um teto para morar. Apaixonada por ler, é uma garota imaginativa, criativa, agitada e muito faladeira, tornando seu convÃvio com outras pessoas –incluindo demais órfãos – muito complicada para as outras pessoas, principalmente porque, diversas vezes, a garota se deixa levar por suas fantasias e vive momentos surreais na vida real. Um dia, ouve-se que um casal de irmãos, Matthew e Marilla Cuthbert, está em busca de uma órfã para morar com eles em sua fazenda: um grande erro, na verdade eles queriam um menino para ajudar nas árduas tarefas de manter o local, como capinar ou consertar cercas, então deveriam devolve-la. A verdade é que todas as peculiaridades que até então a excluÃam da sociedade fazem com que a garota ganhe a simpatia do casal e eles a permitam morar com eles. Anne Shirley ou Anne de Green Gables é uma obra a frente de sua época, inspiradora e cheia de mensagens positivas para meninas e jovens mulheres.
A Adaptação, feita pela Netflix, possui a adição de diversos elementos e anacronismos que conversam mais com o contexto de 2018, para discutir assuntos que estão em alta, como homossexualidade e usa muito bem o roteiro para realçar diversos pontos sutis, como igualdade de gênero. Esteticamente a série é ótima – as locações são simplesmente perfeitas -, a direção brinca bem com angulações para criar ambientações e reações de forma sensacional e a atuação do elenco jovem e mais velho é ótima e carregada de peso.
Assim como o livro, é uma obra para todas as idades mas, principalmente, para jovens mulheres e meninas.
O livro acumula adaptações, principalmente para o cinema – uma inclusive lançada em 2016 -, mas talvez a mais próxima dessa seja a da de Kevin Sullivan, em 1985, em uma minissérie, em que Megan Follows interpreta a órfã, que possui até uma sequência.
BOKUDAKE DAKE GA INAI MACHI – ERASED (Netflix, 2017, Tem Shimoyama)

Erased é uma série japonesa que conta a história de Satoru Fujinoma (Yuri Furukawa), um jovem que possui uma vida medÃocre e simples, aceitando empregos genéricos para se manter enquanto persiste no sonho de se tornar um mangaká – pessoa que faz mangás – bem sucedido. O homem, no entanto, guarda um segredo; uma habilidade de todas as poucas pessoas com quem convive: ele consegue voltar alguns minutos no tempo para evitar erros e, assim, suas consequências. Contudo, um dia, ao voltar para casa e dar de cara com sua mãe assassinada, Satoru volta 18 anos no passado e tem que descobrir qual o erro que deve ser consertado, concluindo que ele deverá evitar alguns assassinatos que aconteceram no passado. A série é repleta de suspense e imprevisibilidade para quem não leu a obra original ou assistiu à adaptação para anime.
A série carrega mensagens fortes sobre a importância de se impor em situações de risco, afeto, perseguição de sonhos e, principalmente, amizade.
A fotografia dessa obra é maravilhosa, tornando cada novo cenário um deleite, especialmente as cenas filmadas na neve. As atuações são boas, mas nos padrões japoneses, o que pode fazer com espectadores que não estão acostumados estranhem.
É uma série originalmente voltada para o público jovem, mas qualquer um que adora um suspense e um mistério vai se divertir assistindo a obra produzida pela Netflix.
A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS (Netflix, 2017, by Mark Hudis)

Os livros contam a história de três jovens, Violet, Sunny e Klaus (interpretados no programa por Malina Weissman, Presley Smith e Louis Hynes, respectivamente), que acabaram de perder seus pais para um grande incêndio em sua mansão. Órfãos, os irmãos Baudelaire são passam por diversos guardiões, apenas na busca de um lugar em que poderiam ser felizes e construir uma vida. Infelizmente, pelas mãos de Conde Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) e diversos acasos trágicos, os irmãos acabam numa série de desventuras e infelicidade infinita enquanto descobrem segredos sobre os pais, guardiões e até o próprio vilão. A série é frustrante, assim como o livro, quando você acha que algo de bom vai acontecer, a situação das crianças só piora e, com isso, a dos atuais guardiões também. Assistir a essa obra requere muita paciência e, talvez, até um pouco de masoquismo para aguentar e se divertir com todas as coisas ruins que acontecem.
A ambientação é incrÃvel e a narração instigante. É uma série divertida... Se você aguenta infelicidade infinita. Brincadeira, é bem divertido, mas esteja avisado: é muitas vezes frustrante.
A série de livros já foi adaptada anteriormente para o cinema, em 2004, com Jim Carrey na pele do vilão.

Anne is an orphan who spent her entire life jumping from household to household, in service of several families, mainly watching over children, in exchange of food and shelter. Passionate about reading, is an imaginative, creative, fidget and talkative girl, making her living with others – including other orphans – very complicated to people, mostly because, many times, the child lets herself be taken by her fantasies and live surreal moments in real life. One day, it’s heard that a couple of siblings, Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, is looking for a girl orphan to live with them in the farm: a big mistake: they were, in fact, looking for a boy to help with the hard tasks in the place, such as fixing fences, so they must take her back. The truth is that all the uniqueness that would exclude her previously made the girl get the siblings' sympathy and they allow her to live with them. Anne Shirley is a work ahead of its time, inspiring ad full of positive messages to girls and young women.
The adaptation made by Netflix adds up a lot of elements and anachronisms that speak better to nowadays context, to discuss subjects that are trending, such as homosexuality, and used the script very well to highlight other points that were subtle in the novel, like gender equality. Aesthetically the show is great – the locations are simply perfect -, the direction plays well with angles to create ambiance and reactions in a sensational way. Also the acting from both the experienced and young cast is great and full of weight.
As well as the book, this is a work for all ages but, mostly, young women and girls.
This book accumulates adaptations, maily to the cinema – one, including, released in 2016 - , but maybe the closest to this one is the Kevin Sullivan one, in 1985, a TV-miniseries in which Megan Follows plays the orphan, that even has a sequel.

Erased is a Japanese show that tells the story of Satoru Fujinoma (Yuri Furukawa), a young man that has a mediocre lifestyle, accepting generic jobs to keep going while he pursues his dream to become a well succeeded mangaká – a person who writes mangás -. The man, however, keeps a secret: the hability of going back a few minutes in time to avoid mistakes and, therefore, its consequences. But one day, when he comes back home to find his mother murdered, he manages to go back in time 18 years and has to find out what mistake has to be corrected, concluding that he must avoid some murderers that happened in the past, when he was a child. The show is filled with thriller and it is unpredictable to those who haven't watched the original work or the anime adaptation.
It carries strong messages on the importance of imposing yourself in risk situation, affection, following your dreams and, especially, friendship.
The cinematography is gorgeous, making every single new scenery a delight, specially the ones filmed in snow. The acting is good, but in the Japanese pattern, what can make some unused viewers uncomfortable.
It is a show originally focused on the young audiences, but anyone who loves some thriller would like it.

The books tell the story of three children: Violet, Sunny and Klaus (played by Malina Weissman, Presley Smith and Louis Hynes, in this order), who just lost their parents to a huge fire in their mansion. Orphans, the Baudelaire children go through several guardians, only in the search of a place to be happy and build a life. Unfortunately, by the hands of Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) and several tragic coincidences, the orphans end up in a series of unfortunate and unhappy events while they find out secrets about their parents, guardians and even the villain. The show is frustrating, as well as the book: when you think something good is about to happen, their situation just gets worse, as well as the one of the guardian in the time. To watch is work requires a lot of patience and, perhaps, even a bit of masochism to deal with all the bad things happening all the time
The ambience and directing is amazing, as so is the narration. It is a fun show… If you can handle endless unhappiness. Joking, it really is great fun, but be warned: it is frustrating at times.
The series of books have been previously adapted to cinemas before, in 2004, with Jim Carrey in the skin of the villain.
